Resilience & Grit - This event has already occurred
The only guarantee when getting onto the entrepreneurship ride is, at some point, you WILL fail. It's not if, but when. And maybe not big failures, maybe not even ones that are due to your choices or actions, but failure is coming. And as entrepreneurs, there is no point in trying to avoid it or duck it, but to learn how to handle it when it happens. In this workshop we're going to cover tangible practical tools to build that resilience and grit muscle to keep picking ourselves up, dusting ourselves off and getting back on the entrepreneurship ride:
- How the brain handles risk and failures - and how to hack that system
- What an 'Amygdala Hyjack' is, and why it's messing with your ability to be creative, innovate and communicate
- What the 'Mindset Gremlins' have to do with it all (hint discomfort is not the enemy)
- Tools to recover in the moment, and tools to build resilience over the long term
About the Speaker - Jess Critchlow, Owner of Light Up Work
Jess Critchlow is the owner and coach at Light Up Work which helps biz owners and leaders be brave AF in their work to finally make those vision boards a reality.
She makes sure to bring a little something from all of her adventures in support of her clients. Whether that’s drawing on her time as a Learning and Development manager in tech, her experience as a TEDx Speaker, or her time contemplating ants with a monk at a Buddhist retreat, she always has a playful perspective to bring to the table.
And when she’s not chasing after her two kiddos and her one eyed poodle in Amherstburg Canada, you can find her drinking too much tea, getting yet another tattoo and geeking out on all things confidence, entrepreneurship and leadership.
