Guide to Succession Planning: How to Get Started - This event has already occurred
Do you have a plan when you are ready to exit your business? Having a succession plan in place is key to unlock and protect the corporate value that you have built up over the years. Succession planning is a necessary strategic process for businesses of all sizes and should be proactively considered and planned now, for a potential divestiture later.
In this seminar, the team at Capital Assist will address the following:
1. What is a succession plan and why is it important?
2. What factors to consider when developing a succession plan?
3. What are the options on how to exit from the business?
4. How do I determine the value of my business and how can I increase my value before transitioning?
5. What are items to consider in determining the optimal structure on the transaction and tax implications?
6. What advisors do I need to assist in preparing and implementing the succession plan?
This session is hosted for businesses located in West-Windsor and the Sandwich Towne BIA. Funding for the Sandwich Business Development Program has been provided by the Gordie Howe International Bridge Community Benefits Plan.
