Since 1971, the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) has been a champion of small business. With their knowledge and experience, CFIB has created a practical list of advice to create and support the development of your small business. In addition, you will be made aware of the three biggest mistakes that small business owners and entrepreneurs make and how to avoid making them yourself. By the end of this presentation, you will have a practical list of steps to take when opening your own small business.

Speaker Bio:
Nathan Mean is the Director of Business Resources Escalations at the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB). Nathan completed high school in Texas and received his BA and LLB from Dalhousie University. He has lived in different parts of Canada, as well as briefer periods in Houston, TX; Guatemala City; and Tokyo. In addition to his business expertise, Nathan served as historian for the Canadian Society of Mayflower Descendants from 2015 to 2017. Nathan joined CFIB in 2000, where he provides information and resources to small businesses and continues to help them every day.
