Fraud threats are an ongoing reality for Canadian organizations. A recent KPMG survey of more than 500 small and medium-sized enterprises across Canada found 75% of respondents experienced either internal external fraud in the past year. That's despite the fact that 87% of businesses said they had a program in place to prevent, detect and respond to fraud.

Once fraud occurs, the process to respond can take a toll on Canadian organizations. In addition to financial loss, organizations may experience strained resources and distraction, while they navigate the complex process to respond to fraud.

Karen Grogan and Tyler Reavell, from KPMG's Forensic Services practice in Southwestern Ontario, along with Juliana Paleaz and Johan Hernandez from the NFP Cyber Specialist team will present information on fraud and fraud trends facing Canadian organizations as well as information on how your organization can improve its capacity to mitigate, prevent, detect and respond to fraud.
